Donald Trump spells his own name wrong in unhinged Twitter rant about Google

Donald Trump has spelled his own name wrong in a furious Twitter rant against Google , China and Hillary Clinton.

The US President was so upset about claims Google had been mean to him that he lost the ability to type his own name, and other words.

It’s the latest explosion in Trump’s long-running beef with the search giant and other tech companies, whom he claims are discriminating against him and other right wing politicians.

He wrote: “[CEO] Sundar Pichai of Google was in the Oval Office working very hard to explain how much he liked me, what a great job the Administration is doing, that Google was not involved with China’s military, that they didn’t help Crooked Hillary over me in the 2016 Election, and that they are NOT planning to illegally subvert the 2020 Election despite all that has been said to the contrary.”

He went on: “It all sounded good until I watched Kevin Cernekee, a Google engineer, say terrible things about what they did in 2016 and that they want to “Make sure that Trump losses [sic]in 2020.”

Cernekee is a former Google engineer who was fired from the company in June 2018 for misuse of company equipment.

He appeared on the Fox News programme hosted by Tucker Carlson, one of Trump’s favourite right-wing TV personalities.

The President’s rant continued with a reference to Lou Dobbs, another right-wing TV commentator.

And he backed up his argument by citing Peter Schweizer, Senior Editor-at-Large of far-right website Breitbart.com.

And thats when he spelled his own name wrong.

He wrote: “Lou Dobbs stated that this is a fraud on the American public. Peter Schweizer stated with certainty that they suppressed negative stories on Hillary Clinton, and boosted negative stories on Donald Ttump.[sic]”

The President added: “All very illegal. We are watching Google very closely!”

Trump has repeatedly claimed Google and other social media companies are rigging their systems to suppress right wing voices.

Last month he claimed Twitter was somehow making it harder for people to follow him.

Speaking at a Summit of right-wing internet personalities he arranged at the White House, he said: “I know that we’ve been blocked

“People come up to me and they say, ‘Sir, I can’t get you — I can’t follow you. They make it impossible.’”

He went on to complain his follower count had been stagnant, claiming the Social Network must be behind it: “It’s so different than it was even six, seven months ago. I was picking up unbelievable amounts of people. A number of months ago, I was at a certain number — many millions. And then all of a sudden, I was down over a million.”

This is untrue

  • Searching for Donald Trump on both Twitter and Google takes the user directly to the President’s account.
  • Twitter routinely purges fake accounts from its platform, which may explain his loss of followers. In one such cull, he lost 300,000 followers. In the same purge, Barack Obama lost 2 million.
  • Fact checkers at CNN and Politifact have investigated the claim that Twitter and other social networks are “shadow-banning” Trump and other Conservatives. They found no evidence to support the claim

A Google spokesperson told the Mirror: “The statements made by this disgruntled former employee are absolutely false.

“We go to great lengths to build our products and enforce our policies in ways that don’t take political leanings into account.

“Distorting results for political purposes would harm our business and go against our mission of providing helpful content to all of our users.”
