Ousted Donald Trump fell victim to a fake Piers Morgan when an impersonator called up the White House and was diverted to the US President aboard Air Force One.
Piers has revealed the staggering story after finally burying the hatchet with his old friend.
Pretend Piers even managed to speak to Trump for a few minutes before he then clocked it wasn’t really the British presenter.
The pair fell out when he wrote a scathing column piece slagging off the leader of the free world. It followed his infamously reckless comments suggesting that drinking bleach could help fight Covid-19.
Trump saw the article – and swiftly unfollowed Piers on twitter.

But in his latest Mail On Sunday column, the former Britain’s Got Talent judge revealed they have kissed and made up – then exposed a big security lapse.
Piers wrote: “He’d seen me talking about him on US breakfast TV show Fox And Friends, and thought it was time to bury the hatchet. He dropped an immediate bombshell.
“‘I actually got scammed by a fake Piers,’ Trump chuckled.
“‘SORRY?’ I exclaimed.

“‘Yeah, some guy rang pretending to be you when I was on Air Force One yesterday, and I actually spoke with him for a few minutes. He sure sounded like you. I guess we’ll soon be reading about it somewhere. A fake Piers, crazy?
“Only Trump could find such a prank funny. Most world leaders would be horrified to be caught out like this.”
Meanwhile, a bad time for Trump could be about to get worse.

Ex-aide Omarosa Manigault Newman claimed the couple’s marriage was over, saying: “Melania is counting every minute until he is out of office and she can divorce.
“If Melania were to try to pull the ultimate humiliation and leave while he’s in office, he would find a way to punish her.”
Melania is said to have burst into tears when her husband triumphed in 2016, with one friend saying: “She never expected him to win”.
