For those who have always loved Subway’s Meatball Marinara sandwich, but wished that it came in pizza form, you’re in luck.

Domino’s has launched the new meaty pizza topping – but for a limited time only.

The Meatball Marinara pizza features pork meatballs, a signature vine-ripened tomato sauce, thinly sliced red onions and a pinch of the chain’s herbs as the base. It’s then topped with mozzarella cheese and more tomato sauce drizzled all over.

It’s available from today onwards for £19.99 when you order online – through the Domino’s app or via your nearest store.

The latest addition will be at 1000 locations across the UK – so be sure to check your nearest branch.

Why not get one ordered to your back garden or local park and split the slices up between friends, or order one for your next movie night in?

This pizza pretty much sounds like the definition of comfort food, so we have a feeling it’s going to be a crowd-pleaser.

Josh Engleman, a communications specialist at Domino’s, said: ‘Our pizza innovation chefs know our customers are proper foodies at heart who love the classics. Using high quality ingredients and fresh dough we’ve created a taste sensation that is perfect for sharing with friends and family.

‘As the UK finally begins to reopen, forget about firing up the barbeque. We’re sure this slice of meatball magic will be the food of long-awaited reunions.’

If you don’t eat meat, the brand also expanded their vegan and veggie options back in January – so you’re bound to find something you like.

And if you’re looking for the ultimate post-pizza dessert, you can make your own doughnuts with puff pastry in less than 15 minutes.

The finished result has more of the texture of a cro-nut, but is just as delicious.
