Her mum, kids and grandchildren have gathered by her bedside at Queen’s Medical Centre in Hawaii, according to sources who say “not a lot can be done”.

TMZ reported that the family is “preparing for the worst” and fear she may not leave the hospital.

Her husband Duane Chapman – aka Dog the Bounty Hunter – posted a touching tribute to his wife on Monday.

He tweeted a photo of Beth’s right hand with a rhinestone manicure, captioning the image: “You all know how she is about HER NAILS!!”

Beth had to be put in a medically-induced coma on Saturday after she started fighting against doctors’ help, according to reports.

She is understood to have started pulling out the tubes doctors were using to give her fluids and medications.

Beth had been transported to Queen’s Medical Centre in Hawaii from her Honolulu home after passing out momentarily.

But she was “not reacting well” when she arrived at the ER and had to be given oxygen.

TMZ claims medics first put her under a mild sedation before going ahead with a full medically-induced coma.

Duane took to Twitter over the weekend and asked his fans: “Please say your prayers for Beth right now thank you love you”.

The family spokesman Mona Wood-Sword said the family are still hoping Beth will recover.

“Duane and the family feel she’s such a fighter, she could get better,” Wood-Sword said. “The family still has hope.”

Beth was diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer in November 2017.

Despite having successful surgery, doctors told her the cancer had returned and she started chemotherapy in December last year.

In April, she was rushed to hospital in Hawaii with “serious breathing issues”.

Duane, 66, previously told Fox News his family’s faith and beliefs were what was keeping them all going at such a difficult time.

He said: “Faith is probably the No. 1 thing in our lives, no matter what we’re faced with…

“Through this cancer episode, we had to drum up as much faith as we could. And the Bible talks about having faith as small as a mustard seed.

“And that’s not much… And I thank God that we had at least that much faith to get her through that.”
