What time is Doc Martin on?

Doc Martin returns to our screens TONIGHT (October 2, 2019) with episode two called The Shock of the New.

It is on ITV1 at 9pm, or ITV1+1 at 10pm.

There are eight episodes in total, all airing on Wednesday evenings.

What will happen on Doc Martin episode two?

The Doc’s dreaded GMC report has arrived to determine his future at his surgery

He’s required to pass three refresher courses, which will then decide whether he is deemed fit to practice, starting with a phlebotomy course – and we all know how much the Doc hates blood.

Elsewhere and it’s all change for Louisa is too. Having resigned as head teacher at Portwenn School, she is focused on her new career path as a child and adolescent counsellor.

Heading down the coast to the Crab and Lobster and Bert Large’s cousin, Miles  pops in with his fiancé Shirley with a proposed new addition to the pub menu – but what will his son Al make of it?

Who’s in the cast of Doc Martin?

Episode two will see the return of the show’s old favourites:

  • Martin Clunes plays Doc Martin. Of course Martin reprises his role as Dr. Martin Ellingham, but before this show, he was famous for many others. He shot to fame as Gary Strang in Men Behaving Badly.
  • Caroline Catz plays Doc Martin’s wife, Louisa Ellingham. Caroline is back as the Doc’s long-suffering wife. The actress is an English film, television, theatre and radio actress. She has starred in Doc Martin since the first series.
  • Dame Eileen Atkins plays Doc Martin’s formidable Aunt Ruth. Dame Atkins is an English actress and occasional screenwriter. She has worked in the theatre, film, and television consistently since 1953.
  • Ian McNeice plays Bert Large. Ian has played the hapless restaurant owner since the first series. The actor found fame portraying government agent Harcourt in the 1985 television miniseries Edge of Darkness.
  • Joe Absolom plays Bert’s son Al. Joe shot to fame in the 90s plays Matthew Rose in EastEnders. the actor is currently starring in A Confession (On ITV until October 2019
