Disney World’s ‘Free Dining’ is coming back – but only for guests whose tickets were affected by coronavirus closures


DISNEY guests who have had their tickets cancelled due to coronavirus are being offered free Disney Dining packages for when they return to the park.

Disney World was forced to close earlier this month due to the pandemic, with tickets cancelled up until the middle of April.

However, families who have been affected by this have been offered the meal package when staying at a Disney resort hotel.

The offer is only available for guests who booked a trip between March 16 and May 31, with arrivals between June 1 and September 20.

Guests who had their holiday cancelled before March 1 are not eligible.

An email sent to guests reads: “We recognise the impact these uncertain times have had on our Guests.

“And because your recent Walt Disney World Resort reservation was cancelled, you’re invited to take advantage of this special summer vacation package offer that includes a Disney dining plan.

“After all, summertime is the perfect time to make the kind of cherished memories that we all need—now more than ever.”

According to Inside the Magic, the promotion includes: “Accommodations at a select Disney Resort hotel, park admission and a Disney Dining plan – valid for arrivals most nights June 1 through September 30 when you book through May 31.

“This offer is valid only for Guests who booked a vacation package or room reservation to stay at a Disney Resort hotel from March 16 through May 31 (even if the park opens before then). Offer not valid for reservations cancelled before March 1, 2020.”

Disney Dining Plans allow families to eat at 100 restaurants throughout the park, which include meals, drinks and snacks as well as refillable mugs.

They also include in-room dining as well as dinner shows and experiences.

Disney World guests can only book new trips from June 1, although it has not been confirmed that it will open by that date.

Disney theme parks around the world remain closed after they all shut their doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Sad images haves revealed the empty Disney World theme park – one of only a handful of times its has been closed in its 48-year history.

Car parks are empty, monorail trains have stopped and all of the vendors and stores are closed.
