Disney+ UK: NEW poll reveals Britain’s most nostalgic Disney movie – Can YOU guess No. 1?

Back in November, the House of Mouse’s streaming service Disney+ finally launched. However, the new digital platform was only available in certain regions and not Britain. But Disney+ UK is finally launching tomorrow and a new poll has revealed the nation’s most nostalgic Disney movie.

LG Electronics polled 2000 UK adults to discover the most nostalgic Disney movie of all time.

And it turns out that 1967’s The Jungle Book came out on top.

The cartoon musical following Mowgli and Baloo the bear is based on Rudyard Kipling’s novel of the same name.

Interestingly, the poll found that Baby Boomers found films like Bambi and Snow White to be more nostalgic, while Generation Z chose early Pixar hits Toy Story and Finding Nemo.

Disney+ UK’s launch could not be better timed with the nation currently being encouraged to social distance and self-isolate amid the coronavirus pandemic.

However, the studio’s latest cinematic releases have been postponed indefinitely as cinemas across the UK have closed down.

These movies included the live-action remake of Mulan and Marvel Studios prequel Black Widow.

Despite calls for the films to go straight to Disney+ or on-demand rental, the studio appears to be planning on cinematic releases for both films later in the year.

Disney+ features over 500 films from its back catalogue.

These include not just many of the animated classics but also movies by Pixar, Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm’s Star Wars.

There are also Disney+ original movies like Togo, the live-action remake of Lady and the Tramp and almost every single episode of The Simpsons

Disney+ UK launches tomorrow with a monthly subscription of £5.99.
