Disney is offering free family holidays if you sign up as a super fan

DISNEY is offering families who are experts at planning Disney holidays a free trip to the theme park.

The well-known Disney Parks Moms Panel are looking for new panellists for 2020.

Membership on the Moms Panel involves running an online forum for planning Disney holidays in exchange for quite the desirable prize – a free trip to a Disney Destination for panellists and up to three family members or complimentary theme park tickets.

From “thousands” of eager contenders, about 40 panellists will ultimately be selected to field questions from Disney enthusiasts in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese, and offer insight on holiday-planning tools.

The competition is regulated by some strict stipulations, however.

Entrants applying to be panellists for Walt Disney World and Disneyland must have visited the theme park at least once in the last 12 months.

Those bidding for spots on the Disney Cruise Line and Disney Vacation Club panels must have gone on a relevant trip in the last 24 months, according to USA Today.

If successful, the panellist will also have to have to reply to 10 to 20 written responses per week.

Example questions they would need to answer include “Can our family bring in snack food in the Disney World parks?” and “Are upgrades free at the Disney all star movie resort For Rooms at check in?”

Disney Parks exec Leanne O’Regan said that hopefuls must be ready to “live and breathe Disney details”.

She said: “We receive thousands of applications each year and narrow it down to a few select panellists we believe will connect with prospective guests as they plan their vacations.

“Whether your Disney dream is a romantic getaway or a boisterous family adventure, we invite you to apply and find a place for your passion with the Disney Parks Moms Panel.”

Following a three-part application process, the ultimate panellists must be able to attend a training session at Disney World in December 2019.

This year’s application opens up on Sept 5 and closes on Sept 12 at MomsPanelSearch.com.

Anyone is welcome to apply – mums, dads, grandparents and even ultra-controversial “childless-millennials” with a passion for the parks, too.

Panellists must also be 18 years or older.

Disney devotees, of course, had a whole lot to say about the big news.

Jennifer McWilliams tweeted: “Oh man, definitely applying!!”

Chad Alan wrote:  “Ooooo I’m not a mom but according to the directions it can be any adult and I have planned countless trips!! I’m so applying for this!”

Some, however, were more critical of the group’s name on grounds of exclusivity.

Chuck Mirarchi wrote: “You should rethink the name of this panel. It’s no longer just moms.”

David added: “What about changing the name? We’re rightly phasing out names like Policeman, Fireman, Chairman so shouldn’t this be the Disney Parks Advisor Panel…”

Disney offered a similar deal last year, which included not just a week-long free trip but also a free training trip to the park for the panel.

The Disney Mom panellists offer expert tips and advice on how to make the most of a Disney World holiday.

Disney World Mom panellist Sue F. told Sun Online Travel how to get in early and avoid the crowds by booking a breakfast in the park.
