Marvel’s Falcon and The Winter Soldier has been forced to
halt production amid coronavirus fears on their location set in Prague, Czech
Republic.

The big budget production of the first look into the Marvel
TV universe has been forced to stop production as coronavirus caused Prague’s
government to put restrictions on events and travel in a bid to stop the virus.

The crew, including Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, who
play the two superheroes, started filming in the city on Friday, but it was
announced just four days later that they would no longer be able to proceed,
according to Deadline.

Falcon and The Winter Soldier – one of a
collective of slated Marvel shows
set to hit our screens in the near future
– has been dogged with issues as major natural disasters have plagued their
series on more than one occasion.

In January, the team were meant to be shooting in Puerto
Rico when
the country was hit with an earthquake
coming in at 6.4 on the Richter
scale – causing an estimated $100million (£76,863,950) in damages.

In the worst earthquakes the country had seen in more than
100 years, the team had to withdraw production as the relief effort came in.

The team have been filming since November 2019, and while
the release date has been slated for August, it’s not been confirmed if these
issues will cause a setback to the team.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will see Sam Wilson
(Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Stan) team up once again for the first time since
the death of Captain America (Chris Evans).

Heading off on series of missions and adventures, the series
will be loosely based off the comic books of the same name.

Daniel Brühl has been confirmed to return as villain Zemo,
while Emily VanCamp will also come back as Sharon Carter, Peggy’s daughter.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is set to air August on Disney+.
