A GROSS passenger has been shamed after they were caught drying their “sweaty socks” using the overhead air vents during a flight.
The traveller was caught holding up the sock above their head while on the plane.

The picture was shared by Instagram account Passenger Shaming, which regularly posts images of the worst travellers encountered on a plane.
The image was accompanied by the caption: “Drying sweaty socks using the air vent.”
It has since been liked over 4,000 times with other people on social media left horrified.
One person wrote: “This should be a crime!”
Another person said: “This post made me literally gag!”

Someone else added: “Even worse, socks soaked in urine because they were worn to the bathroom.”
Many social media users simply used the vomiting emoji as a response.
One social media user obviously saw nothing wrong with it, explaining: “The little clothespin that comes with the napkin holds the sock tightly against the air vent.”
Another person said: “Underwear or socks, which is worse? I can’t decide.”
The comment was in relation to another traveller who was caught drying her knickers using the plane vent.
A man was also caught drying his socks during a flight recently – only this time using the plane window.
Another person decided to take his jeans off during the flight and sat in his boxers.
One woman found a dirty pair of knickers on her Virgin Atlantic seat while boarding.
