Following on from the huge success of their Stranger Things experience, Secret Cinema have announced their next production will be Dirty Dancing.

Secret Cinema revealed that they will be revisiting the 1987 hit film from 22 July 2020, with the immersive outdoor experience running for just two weeks.

The top secret London location will be transformed into the Kellerman’s holiday resort, where fans of the movie can become part of it.

The film, starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey, has already been given the Secret Cinema treatment in 2016, and proved such a hit they’ve decided to bring it back for another round.

Set in 1963, participants can be expected to carry a watermelon and have the time of their life as they head into old-school, holiday camp life for a couple of hours.

As well as showing the movie (naturally), the event will feature live music, dance classes and other activities at Kellerman’s.

Lucy Ridley, Creative Director of Secret Cinema Presents Dirty Dancing said: ‘Our outdoor experiences are a celebration of the summer, and this iconic movie epitomises and honours that perfectly.

‘We’re delighted to return to this film and can’t wait to share the summer of ‘63 with you.’

Secret Cinema is currently mid-way through their Stranger Things run, which will continue until February 2020, and fans are embracing heading to Hawkins for one night.

All participants are sent a character to become for the night, and full costume, hair and make up are a must to fit in in the world of each movie or TV series.

Tickets for Secret Cinema Presents Dirty Dancing will go on sale at 9am on 16 December and are available to buy from https://www.secretcinema.org.
