Diplo, Bill Pullman and Eddie Izzard join musical comedy Covers
According to Deadline, Grammy-winning DJ and record producer Diplo (Detective Pikachu), Bill Pullman (Casper, Independence Day) and Emmy winner Eddie Izzard (Ocean’s Twelve, Dress to Kill) have been cast to in Focus Features and Working Title Films’ upcoming musical comedy Covers. Production has already begun in Los Angeles.

Covers will follow the fast-paced Hollywood music scene and explores the talent and fame that exists there. The ensemble cast is being led by Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades Freed, Peanut Butter Falcon) and Golden Globe winning actress Tracee Ellis Ross (Black-ish) and also stars Ice Cube (Fist Fight, Barbershop), Kelvin Harrison Jr. (It Comes at Night, Luce), Zoë Chao (Where’d You Go, Bernadette), June Diane Raphael (Blockers, Long Shot).
Nisha Ganatra, who made a huge impression with the comedy Late Night at the Sundance Film Festival, is directing the pic from a screenplay by Flora Greeson.
