Dignitas Adds Betting Platform VIE.gg as Jersey Sponsor

Dignitas Database-Link-e1521645463907 today announced that it has signed a three-year partnership deal with Esports Entertainment Group’s VIE.gg betting platform, which will be a jersey sponsor of three of the organization’s teams.

VIE.gg branding will appear on the jerseys of Dignitas’ Rocket League Database-Link-e1521645463907, Super Smash Bros. Database-Link-e1521645463907, and women’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Database-Link-e1521645463907 (CS:GO) teams, and the platform will also receive promotion via the organization’s website and social media channels. Dignitas players and streamers will also co-host 12 total streams that walk through top betting storylines.

Dignitas’ website will also display a tracker that shows current betting information for eight esports titles: League of Legends Database-Link-e1521645463907, CS:GO, Dota 2 Database-Link-e1521645463907, Overwatch Database-Link-e1521645463907, PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS Database-Link-e1521645463907, Call of Duty Database-Link-e1521645463907, Hearthstone Database-Link-e1521645463907, and StarCraft II Database-Link-e1521645463907.

The jersey-branding component of the deal does not apply to Dignitas’ other teams, including Clash Royale Database-Link-e1521645463907, Apex Legends Database-Link-e1521645463907, and SMITE Database-Link-e1521645463907. Dignitas also recently merged with Clutch Gaming and acquired its League of Legends Championship Series Database-Link-e1521645463907 (LCS) team, which it will bring under the Dignitas banner in 2020.

The Esports Observer reached out to Riot Games Database-Link-e1521645463907 to inquire about any limitations on betting sponsors for LCS teams, but did not hear back by press time. We will update the article if we receive additional information on that front.
