I mean sure being surrounded by legends is great but clearly the most impressive thing about this photo is the fact that my fannypack is perfectly colour-coordinated with the background. pic.twitter.com/5a4k5z0BFw

Simu Liu is thought to be currently shooting for the upcoming Marvel film Shang-Chi – but fans are now hoping that he may have low-key revealed that Shadowhunters star Harry Shum Jr has joined the cast.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Simu shared a picture of himself with co-star Awkwafina, Harry and Jamie Chung and joked about matching his bum bag to the art behind them.
But fans were more interested in who was in the picture; with Simu thought to be in San Francisco filming Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, why was Harry also there?
‘Did u just give us confirmation that Harry’s gonna appear in shang chi im-,’ tweeted one shook fan while another said what we were all thinking when they tweeted: ‘Just announce Harry is gonna be in shang-chi thank you.’
‘Tell me harry is in shang-chi i’m begging,’ read another tweet which we cannot help but back.
Shang-Chi will be the first Asian-led superhero film; introduced in 1973 the character will bring an injection of martial arts into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Whispers are it’ll be part of Phase Four, as Avengers 4 closes out the third, alongside Black Widow and The Eternals.
Destin Daniel Cretton will direct the film, with Dave Callaham writing the script, and Hong Kong actor Tony Leung in the role of the Mandarin.
At Comic-Con earlier this year Marvel head honcho Kevin Fiege confirmed that Easter eggs to the Mandarin have been hidden in the Ant-Man films which is set in San Francisco… explaining why the cast and crew are hanging out in the city.
Shang-Chi’s backstory is not an easy one and there is a lot to unpack but is it thought Marvel Studios is aiming to distance the protagonist from a martial arts caricature that came to be when it was launched, around the era of Enter the Dragon.
In the comics, the hero is the son of a China-based globalist, closed off to the outside world and raised a recluse.
Which we all know breeds the most badass of superheroes, just saying.
Of course he learns the most superhero-level martial arts techniques, of course, and is then released into the world to do his father’s bidding. However, he soon comes to realise his father may not be the saint and humanitarian he claimed to be… and in fact, he has been referred to as The Devil’s Doctor.
