Ariana Grande fans are wondering if the pop icon has had her say on the James Charles and Tati Westbrook drama, after it was claimed she jokingly called for security after being asked to ‘sing like James Charles’ at a sound check.

Brutal.

With there currently being no video of the event, the only proof of the claims are statements posted to social media by onlookers who attended the Oklahoma show.

‘Ariana read a question that asked [her] to sing like james charles & she was like “who asked that” then yelled “SECURITY” MFKDNDJDJDNDJDJD,’ one fan who attended the show wrote on Twitter.

One more clarified that the 25-year-old wasn’t being serious, replying to a fan who asked if she ‘did it as a joke,’ and writing: ‘She did! She said “I’m just kidding” after it.’

Another attendee claimed that Ariana said: ‘I don’t know who wrote this because it doesn’t say their name on it buuut it says ‘can u hit the woe or whip or something? or sing like james charles?’ whose question is this? yours? SECURITY!!!! ok kidding but i’ll politely decline both of those.’

Reps for Ariana declined to comment when contacted by Metro.co.uk.

James hit headlines over the past couple of weeks after fellow beauty guru Tati Westbrook cut ties with him and made an exposé video, accusing him of lying about a brand deal and manipulating people.

While stars like Jeffree Star and Zara Larsson had their say, the pair have since called a ceasefire, pledging to speak about it in private.

The 20-year-old and Ariana haven’t always been on the best terms, with James previously calling the No Tears Left To Cry hitmaker the ‘rudest celebrity’ he’s ever met.

‘I really like Ariana, I guess I just had a really crappy experience with her. I went to her show… the next day I woke up and she had DMed me,’ he said in a video with Shane Dawson and Ryland Adams.

He recalled that, due to some previous ‘scandals’, he had received tweets from her fans who were angry that she had followed him on Twitter, and she went on to unfollow him.

James said that, after he asked her if he had done something wrong, ‘she literally was like “Hey babe, I just saw a lot of angry tweets from my fans and I would never want to disappoint them so I unfollowed.”‘

The YouTuber has since been celebrating his 20th birthday, documenting his day on his Instagram Stories.

‘Thank you babes so much for the birthday wishes,’ he wrote on Twitter. ‘All I want is happiness for everyone!!’
