Diane Von Furstenberg's 19-year-old granddaughter has designed her first collection

Model, designer, activist: Talita von Furstenberg is a force to be reckoned with.

If the surname sounds familiar, that’s because Talita’s grandmother is none other than fashion powerhouse Diane Von Furstenberg, a.k.a, the queen of the wrap dress.

It should come as no surprise, then, that Talita is following in the family footsteps with a brand new capsule collection for her grandmother’s iconic label.

The collection, entitled ‘TVF for DVF‘, is made up of 23 whimsical pieces, including printed summer dresses and floaty separates that have us longing for a Mediterranean minibreak.

And while Talita hails from seriously talented fashion stock, she’s made a name for herself in her own right as a model for Dolce & Gabbana, as well as starring as the face of DVF’s autumn/winter 2018 collection. Oh and did we mention she’s also majoring in Justice and Peace at Georgetown University too? #Goals.

“I’ve looked up to my grandmother my whole life and she has successfully leveraged a fashion empire to help and inspire countless women,” Talita commented in a statement. “I hope to follow in her same footsteps.”

Taking to Instagram, Talita also shared the inspiration behind the new collection.

“I designed TVF for DVF as a reflection of my personal style — feminine and soft. The entire collection gives off happy, warm, and effortless vibes that make it easy to blend into your own wardrobe.”

In an interview with Teen Vogue, she explained that the time was right to “insert a fresh, younger vibe” into the eponymous brand.

“The TVF girl sits within a younger, more contemporary demographic but is just as in charge as the DVF woman,” she explained. “My goal is that every girl who wears TVF looks and feels feminine and beautiful. When people wear TVF I want them to feel completely confident and comfortable.”

Diane got down with her millennial granddaughter on the gram too, sharing some adorable photos of a young Talita ahead of the collection launch alongside the caption: “A collaboration 19 years in the making!”

Whilst the TVF pieces sit at the higher end of the spectrum, we reckon these staple silhouettes will last you for many seasons to come.
