Diana Ross And Tracee Ellis Ross Pulled Off A Mother-Daughter Style Moment For The Ages

Diana Ross can always be counted on for larger than life fashion. The music legend knows what she likes – Bob Mackie, Tom Ford, and Thierry Mugler, please – and she doesn’t diverge from her signatures. At her birthday celebration at Warwick nightclub in Los Angeles, Ross wowed the crowd with multiple outfit changes while being serenaded by Beyoncé. The most poignant moment of the evening, however, came thanks to her equally stylish daughter, Tracee Ellis-Ross.

In a bright orange feathered coat from Marc Jacobs’s autumn/winter 2019 collection and a matching sherbet-coloured Versace dress, Ellis Ross captured the essence of her mother’s look. The homage was spot on, though Ellis-Ross did add her own twist, namely ombre Christian Louboutin pumps and a sleek bowl cut.

Not to be outdone, Ms Ross – who switched looks at least five times that evening – finished off the night with her own version of brightly coloured marabou (because good taste runs in the family). In a pastel pink feather bolero layered over a black gown, she made a fabulous exit from the after party at the Hollywood Palladium.
