Derby County 1-1 West Bromwich Albion: Slaven Bilic sent off in draw at Pride Park

Martyn Waghorn (right) has now scored two and missed two penalties for Derby County this season

A late Kenneth Zohore spot-kick rescued a point for West Bromwich Albion at Derby County, in a game that saw three penalties awarded and Baggies boss Slaven Bilic sent off.

Derby opened the scoring through Martyn Waghorn’s penalty in the fourth minute after the striker was brought down in the area by Kieran Gibbs.

The hosts were then given a second penalty by referee Gavin Ward shortly before half-time when Filip Krovinovic was adjudged to have handled the ball.

But Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone was equal to Waghorn’s second effort, diving at full stretch to his left.

The away side were then given a penalty of their own when Max Lowe fouled Matheus Pereira in the box, with forward Zohore sending Kelle Roos the wrong way to net a late equaliser.

More to follow.
