This year’s Super Bowl has its national anthem singer: Demi Lovato.
The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer, 27, is set to perform at the football event in Miami on February 2, according to announcement on her Instagram account.
“Singing the National Anthem at #SBLIV ? ? ? See you in Miami ? @NFL,” she captioned a photo of herself Tuesday.
The performance, which will take place at Hard Rock Stadium, will be broadcast live worldwide.
In September, it was announced that Jennifer Lopez and Shakira would perform at the event’s halftime show. The singers took to Twitter to share teasers about their upcoming performance, each sharing a sultry picture of the other.
“This is happening. 02.02.20,” Lopez wrote in the tweet.
Lopez and Shakira are the latest megastars to headline the halftime show, with Maroon 5, Travis Scott and Big Boi fronting the 2019 show.
Past national anthem singers have also included big names, such as 2019’s Gladys Knight, 2016’s Lady Gaga and 2004’s Beyoncé.
Lovato released her last album “Tell Me You Love Me” in 2017. In June, the “Confident” singer teased an upcoming album where she plans to be as “open and honest and possible.”
In November, at the Teen Vogue Summit she told the crowd: “I have new music coming. I didn’t say when!”
She said at the event, her first interview since her apparent drug overdose in July 2018, she wouldn’t change how her life has gone.
“What I see in the mirror (is) someone that’s overcome a lot,” she told Teen Vogue editor in chief Lindsay Peoples Wagner. “I’ve been through a lot and I genuinely see a fighter. I don’t see a championship winner in there, but I see a fighter and someone who is going to continue to fight no matter (what) challenges are thrown their way.”
