Dementia symptoms: Are you easily upset? It could be a sign of vascular dementia


Alzheimer’s Research UK stated: “One in five people who have a stroke go on to develop dementia.”

Other health conditions that put a person at greater risk of developing vascular dementia include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes and heart problems.

Lifestyle factors that contribute to the disease are smoking and obesity.

Getting regular exercise and eating a healthy diet, “especially in midlife and beyond”, can lower a person’s risk of vascular dementia.
