The England international enjoyed a stellar season with the Hammers, making a total of 38 appearances and scoring two goals.
His impressive displays for Manuel Pellegrini’s side caught the eye of West Ham’s Premier League rivals Manchester United, who are planning a major overhaul of their squad this summer.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is understood to be a big admirer of the midfielder and is eager to acquire his services.
Rice, however, has dealt the Norwegian a fresh blow by revealing his intention to stay at the London Stadium.
The Hammers academy product publicly committed his future to the club on Twitter on Tuesday when asked by a fan if he plans on wearing the No.41 shirt next season.
He replied by saying: “Had loads of people asking this… I WILL be keeping 41 for this season.”
Rice’s comments will force Solskjaer to look elsewhere to bolster his midfield.
The 20-year-old penned a new five-year deal with West Ham last December and plans on seeing out the remainder of his contract with the east-London club.
“I know that there’s speculation but I signed a five-year contract with West Ham during the season,” Rice said last month.
“So my focus is fully on playing for West Ham.
“I’ve got a great connection with the fans; the fans love me and I love them and that’s the way it is at the moment.
“I’m not thinking about anything else, for sure.”
