“I made it with him once.
“He shared an apartment with Diane Podlewski, who always came into Max’s [Max’s Kansas City] after midnight.
“They were the most interesting-looking people and just stood out; they were stunning,” she added.
Harry went on to say she wasn’t sure how she became friends with the Dolls in the beginning.
“Since almost nobody in downtown New York had a car, I would sometimes drive them around.
“I figure now that what attracted me so much to their shows was that I wanted to be just like them. In fact, I wanted to be them,” she explained in Face It.
