David Tennant’s half term has got off to a lively start as the actor and his wife Georgia try to keep their kids entertained in lockdown.

Georgia shared a fun photo of the doting dad patiently letting his daughter paint his face bright colours.

In the photo the 49-year-old Doctor Who star sported green eyebrows and chin, a pink and yellow heart on his cheek and red lines on his forehead.

In the caption, the actress, 35, said: ‘It’s half term. Good luck to everyone’.

Her hashtags read ‘maybe he’s born with it’ and ‘maybe we can’t leave the house due to a fucking pandemic’.

No doubt many parents around the UK feel her pain.

We’re especially loving David’s expression of determination to just get through the spontaneous makeover and his cool Duck Tales T-shirt, a nod to his role as Scrooge McDuck in the rebooted cartoon series.

The couple met when Georgia played the Doctor’s cloned daughter in a 2008 Doctor Who episode. They share five children with fifth child Birdie coming into the world last October.

Speaking on the That Gaby Roslin podcast Georgia, the daughter of former Doctor Who star Peter Davison, recalled their first meeting, saying she was the one who did the chasing.

She joked: ‘I very much forced it into happening. I was very much the driving force. Had I not worked quite so hard, it might not have happened.

‘I very much fell into stalker category. Thank goodness I did though.’

Meanwhile the Scottish actor confessed he felt their relationship was ‘unlikely’ as ‘there was a bit of an age gap’.

He said: ‘Because Doctor Who had run through my life like a stick of rock, to end up marrying the daughter of one of the doctors, it all felt a bit stupid… so there were a lot of things against it.’
