David Silva is reportedly in talks with Japanese club Vissel Kobe as he looks to secure his future beyond leaving Manchester City next summer.

The 33-year-old has been at the Etihad since 2010, winning four Premier League titles in a sensational spell in the north-west of England.

However, he announced earlier this year that this would be his last season with the Premier League champions and that he will be moving on in the summer.

There will be no shortage of offers for the man who has 125 Spain caps to his name, and the latest appears to have come from Japan.

El Chiringuito TV reports that talks are already ongoing between Vissel Kobe and the Spaniard, although nothing has been agreed as yet.

The J League outfit already have three Spaniards in their ranks, with David Villa, Andres Iniesta and Sergi Samper all playing there.

Other recognisable faces in the squad include the former Arsenal pair Lukas Podolski and Thomas Vermaelen.

Despite this star power, Vissel Kobe sit just 10th in the J League having lost three of their last four matches and are closer to the relegation play-off spots than the Asian Champions League places.

Villa has announced that he will be retiring from football at the end of the Japanese season, and the club are hoping to replace the outgoing striker with the play-maker.

Silva has also been a linked with a switch to America where he could join David Beckham’s new franchise, Inter Miami.

The brand new club is thought to be seeking a ‘Spanish-speaking superstar’ to attract fans in the Hispanic community in Florida.

Silva, who is still one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, would certainly fit that bill, even if he would be 34-years-old on arrival in the States.

Other huge names have been linked with the new team, including Radamel Falcao, Luis Suarez, James Rodriguez and Edinson Cavani, although they are yet to announce a manager.

Inter Miami will join MLS next season, with their first match against Beckham’s former club, LA Galaxy, on 14 March, so they need to make some signings in the near future.
