“I am, as they say, ‘deceased.'”
You would have thought that everyone in the world knows exactly who Dave Grohl is, but apparently not as he was this week mistaken for being a member of Maggie Rogers‘ band.
According to Rogers, while at a bar in Virginia Beach yesterday (April 26) the Foo Fighters frontman was asked if he was in the ‘Alaska’ singer’s band.
“guys a bartender in virginia beach just asked dave grohl if he was in my band,” she tweeted. “i am, as they say, ‘deceased.’”

She followed up the tweet by writing, “25 is the best year ever,” and then she revealed that Grohl actually responded to the bartender’s question. In true Dave Grohl fashion, he apparently replied: “I’m her guitar tech.”

Last week, Dave Grohl was spotted busking with Brandi Carlile in Seattle.
The pair performed for the public at Pike Place Market following Carlile sharing their plans to go out and play with her Instagram followers that morning.
According to those who were there, the performance lasted for between 15 and 20 minutes and saw Grohl and Carlile joined by Carlile’s bandmates Phil and Time Hanseroff. During the short set, they aired covers of The Beatles’ ‘Let It Be’ and Foo Fighters’ ‘Times Like These’.
Meanwhile, up-and-coming Brisbane musician Mallrat teamed up with Maggie Rogers to lead a cover of Lana Del Rey‘s 2011 single ‘Video Games’ at a show in Frankfurt, Germany last month.
Mallrat was supporting Rogers on her European tour, and the headliner provided backing vocals to a sombre rendition of the song. Elle Puckett, a musician and Rogers’ touring guitarist, was on instrumental duties.
