Danny Rose will not travel on Tottenham’s pre-season tour this summer, although Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld, both linked with moves away, will be involved.

Rose is available for transfer this summer for around £25m and the Telegraph are reporting that he will stay at home while his team-mates head to Asia to get a deal done.

The left-back admitted last month that he didn’t know what his future held and now it seems that it will see him leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

However, things are less clear on the futures of Eriksen and Alderweireld, both of whom have been linked with exits, but both will fly to SIngapore on Wednesday, according to the Evening Standard.

Deals could certainly still be done for the midfielder and the defender while they are away, but it suggests Spurs are keener to keep hold of them than Rose.

Another absentee from the tour will be Eric Dier, although that will be through injury rather than any transfer saga.

Pochettino was asked about Eriksen’s future on Tuesday and made it clear he hopes his future resides in north London, but could confirm nothing.

‘I hope he will [stay],’ said the Spurs boss.

‘I think he is a great player, Christian. One of the biggest talents in football. After five years working with him, I am sure in the way that he plays, and I hope so, yes.

‘But you know, there is a lot of interest. I hope yes, but I don’t know what is going to happen with that.’

Real Madrid, Juventus and Atletico Madrid are the teams reportedly most keen in the Danish playmaker, although a bid is yet to come in for him.

Alderweireld has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave for just £25m before 26 July, with Roma and Arsenal interested in triggering it.

Rose has previously spoken about his desire to return to play in the north of England, closer to his family in Yorkshire.

However, it is unclear where he would find a home in the north, with few clubs looking for a left-back, although Liverpool may consider him as an option as back-up for Andrew Robertson after the departure of Alberto Moreno.
