Danniella updated us on how she’s been feeling since at the Whsky Label launch party last night.

The actress confessed that she’s suffered with the serious illness more than once this year – and it’s because she’s more vulnerable to it.

Danniella exclusively told The Sun: “Because of my operations I’m quite open to it.

“I don’t always wear a mask and I should, so they’re always telling me off!”

Septicaemia is a serious bloodstream infection also known as blood poisoning.

Explaining why she had the serious infection three times in 2022, Danniella – who recently looked unrecognisable after showing off her glamorous new look – added: “I also went back to the gym too fast.

“Sweating and doing classes and stuff I shouldn’t be doing… so now I’ve got a personal trainer.”

The former BBC star sparked concern among fans earlier this year when she said she wasn’t feeling well.

A week later she confessed that she was still bedridden with a mystery illness.

Then it was confirmed that the former EastEnders star was suffering from septicaemia and received urgent treatment to stop the spread of any infection.

A rep at the time said: “Danniella suffered a sudden health shock.

What is septicaemia?

Septicaemia is a serious bloodstream infection also known as blood poisoning – it is the name of the infection itself.

It occurs when a bacterial infection enters the blood stream – dangerous as it can then spread throughout the body.

It can start anywhere but the most common causes are from urinary tract, lung and kidney and stomach infections.

It can be life-threatening if not treated in hospital.

“Thankfully the issue was caught early and dealt with by medical professionals. Danniella has been released from hospital and is home recovering with the support of close family.

“We are grateful that Danniella hasn’t suffered from any major risks.

“Danniella appreciates everyone’s immediate support and we will be sure to issue updates on her ongoing recovery accordingly.”

Despite the setbacks, the mum-of-two looks better than ever and has been keeping fit by pole dancing, and even has plans to start spinning.

As well as focusing on her physical health, Danniella is also in regular contact with her therapist and is feeling good.

“I still speak to my therapist every few weeks, as I say I’ve got a good team of people around me,” she said.

“I’ve gone through stages in my life being so neurotic, ADHD and mental health issues, so if you’re going to be in this industry you need to be looked after properly.”
