Dani Dyer’s ex-boyfriend Sammy Kimmance has called the Love Island star his ‘day one’ in a thinly veiled dig at Jack Fincham.

Dani, 22, has rekindled her romance with Sammy, 23, following her split from fellow Love Island winner Jack, 27.

And it seems Sammy is pretty smitten, as evidenced by the latest picture on his Instagram account.

The stockbroker uploaded a picture of himself and Dani in a bar, with his arm around the reality star.

According to The Sun, Sammy first captioned the pic: ‘Boomerang if things meant to find there way they will trust me (sic)’, before changing it to read: ‘Me and my Dan.’

He finally decided on ‘My day one’ – which is what Jack often referred to Dani as, after they coupled up on the first day of Love Island.

When asked why he kept changing his caption, Sammy reportedly wrote: ‘Babe, you know what I don’t know what is best for my princess.’

Sammy dated Dani for a year before she went on Love Island last summer, eventually becoming a bit of a national treasure, but the pair confirmed their reunion with a very public and passionate kiss in Chelsea.

Jack – who confirmed his split from Dani earlier this month – hinted he had a ‘lucky escape’ from his ex’, while Dani’s parents, EastEnders actor Danny Dyer and Jo Mas, reportedly think Sammy is ‘bad news’.

Sammy has also been accused of being fame-hungry, with an insider telling The Sun: ‘Sammy has the gift of the gab – he does well at work and makes good money.

‘The only reason he’s reconnected with Dani is because she has a lot going for her at the moment – she has money, a clothing range and endorsement deals, he will feel like he’s hit the jackpot.’

Following Dani and Jack’s break-up, not one couple from Love Island 2018 remains together.

Thankfully, the class of 2019 are on their way to save romance, as Caroline Flack has confirmed filming for the new series of Love Island is beginning.
