But despite criticism surrounding their romance, Dani Dyer has revealed her beau has the seal of approval from those closest to her, including her EastEnders actor dad Danny.
During a visit to Capital Breakfast show with Roman Kemp, Vick Hope and Sonny Jay on Thursday morning, the reality star gushed about Sammy, before giving dating tips to this year’s Love Island contestants.

Dani only announced her split from her Love Island beau Jack back in April, and just 20 days later, she and Sammy were spotted passionately kissing in the street.
And things appear to be going from strength to strength between the couple, who reportedly dated a year before Dani went on Love Island.
Speaking to Capital Dani laughed and replied ‘yeah’ when Roman asked her ‘You’re very loved up now?’

‘Does your dad approve?’ asked Sonny. ‘Yeah he does!’ gushed Dani, who is famously close to her soapstar dad.
After Roman commented that it ‘must be nice to watch Love Island with a partner,’ Dani admitted: ‘Yeah. He sort of wants to watch it! [laughs] He wants to talk the whole time, I’m like “shh! Adverts!”‘
The Capital team were keen to get Dani’s insight into the hugely popular ITV2 show, which she and Jack won last summer.

Dani was quick to give her opinion on the opening week’s biggest drama – the Lucie, Joe and Tommy love triangle.
‘I feel so sorry for Lucie,’ admitted the 2018 champ of surfer Lucie. ‘Joe is being a bit too much. Is anyone else agreeing with me on this?’
Speaking about Joe’s possessive attitude to Lucie’s date with newcomer Tommy, Dani explained: ‘I didn’t like that. The little pouting and the hair flicks and when he’s looking at her and he’s like “I don’t think I can trust you”. It’s been two days Joe.’

‘I would just tell her to take a step back. She is very emotional at the minute and it is hard in there. Tensions are high. I would just take a step back, get to know the boys and stop worrying about it and don’t let Joe get in your head. He’s getting in her head a little bit.’
Dani was also quick to defend the show against accusations of manipulation from producers, insisting ‘there isn’t any direction on what to do.’
‘With the drama and stuff, it just ends up happening because it’s so tense in there and everyone is, like, wanting to be happy and wanting to be coupled up and wanting to be settled so then the drama starts.’
‘The only direction you have is just on your conversations, so that, just, they space them out a little bit…because you can’t have like 10 conversations going on so they’ll be like “just wait a little bit longer or leave it ’til the morning”‘.
