Love Island’s Dani Dyer was awkwardly listed as Jack Fincham’s ‘friend’ during her appearance on The All New Monty following their split.
Cringe.
The 23-year-old, who split from her villa beau last month, made an appearance to tell viewers just how proud she was of her, um, friend.
‘Jack’s been really, really nervous about it,’ the star explained. ‘He’s obviously been coming home every night and practicing his moves.
‘Who couldn’t be proud of Jack?!’
Despite her sweet words, the awkward situation definitely didn’t pass viewers by, with one tweeting: ‘Dani Dyer..Jack’s ‘friend’. #Awks #AllNewMonty.’
Another added: ‘”Dani: Jack’s friend” Yikes #allnewmonty.’
Meanwhile, one viewer thought the episode could have done without her appearance entirely, pointing out: ‘Dani should have been edited out #AllNewMonty.’
The pair split at the beginning of April, with Jack telling fans on Instagram: ‘We have some amazing memories together and have been through a lot but something things aren’t meant to be and we really did try to make it work but it unfortunately didn’t and that is life.’
Dani was later seen moving on as she was spotted snogging another guy, who she reportedly dated before Love Island.
‘Dani and Sammi were drinking and having a great time, and made no secret of being back together,’ an insider told The Sun.
‘They were together for about a year, but she never really got over him and they got back in touch quite quickly once she split from Jack.’
Meanwhile the 27-year-old dealt with heartbreak by going on a lads’ holiday with Kem Cetinay and Chris Hughes.
Dream team.
However, things got all the more awkward when Jack hinted he’d had a ‘lucky escape’ from his ex.
Taking to Twitter, the pen salesman liked a tweet from a fan who claimed as much.
The fan in question shared a screenshot after Dani had blocked her from the social media platform, and fumed: ‘Loved being blocked by Dani for pointing out the obviously. All I can say is @Jack_CharlesF you got a lucky escape (sic).’
Ouch.
