Dancing on Ice's Caprice ditches skating partner Hamish for 'pushing her too hard'

Caprice, who is currently starring on the latest series of Dancing on Ice, has sent her pro dancing partner packing.

The model gave skater Hamish Gaman a frosty reception because he was allegedly “pushing her too hard”, and seemingly ditched him.

The demise of their short-lived skating partnership was announced on Sunday evening’s show by presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield after the duo decided to not carry on working together.

It has been revealed the mum-of-two is now practising with professional skater Oscar Peter, who is reportedly her replacement following her shock split.

Hamish Gaman and Caprice are not longing working together after their skating partnership turned toxic

A source told The Sun, Caprice and Hamish’s working relationship soured as the weeks went on when she started to struggle with the routines.

They also revealed the fallout was “getting toxic”, and both parties agreed it would be better to call it a day.

“Caprice’s relationship with Hamish was harmonious at the start but as time went on they became more strained.

“She felt he was pushing her too hard in training and Caprice started to struggle.

Holly and Phil made the announcement on Sunday evening’s show

“She felt he could have been more patient and they ended up having a big row.

They added: “In the end, it became completely unworkable for them to carry on and after speaking with the bosses they called it quits. It was getting toxic so stopping the partnership was best for everyone.”

However, additional show insiders have since said that Hamish wasn’t “pushing her too hard” and went on to slam claims that their relationship was “getting toxic”.

They went on to say that the claims “speak unfairly to both of their characters.”

An ITV spokesperson confirmed the news and explained the American star will be back on the ice for this week’s episode.
