DANCING On Ice star Caprice Bourret today reveals how she has secretly wed her long-term boyfriend – as she vows to avoid falling foul of the show’s infamous curse.
The 48-year-old model and businesswoman, who joins the ITV1 show for its launch tonight, married financier Ty Comfort at a London register office before Christmas.
She fitted the wedding in between her gruelling training days for the show, which has seen her shed a stone and regain her catwalk figure.
But the intensive ice workouts have not stopped her enjoying a red-hot honeymoon period — and no one is happier about that than multi-millionaire Ty, 53.
In an exclusive interview, Caprice says: “He just wants me to be naked all the time. I haven’t had that since we first started dating, so it feels pretty good.
“We haven’t seen as much of each other as we normally do because of the long hours of training. But we see plenty of each other at night, and that’s all that matters anyway.
“It felt so natural to take it to the next level and get married. We’ve got such a good relationship. I never thought we’d do it so quickly but we just thought, ‘Why not?’. And we just did it privately.
“It saved all the organising and was just as romantic. We couldn’t be happier.”
On tonight’s show the former top model — who shot to fame when she wore a see-through dress to the National Television Awards in 1996 — will step out on to the ice with pro skater Hamish Gaman.
They will battle it out with celebs including presenters Trisha Goddard and Joe Swash and Love Island beauty Maura Higgins. Caprice met Ty eight years ago and the couple have two six-year-old sons, Jax and Jett.
‘ My body went to s**t after kids ’
In her latest photoshoot, Caprice is showing off her new look after losing a stone through a combination of exercise, ice-skating training and sessions in a minus-110C cryotherapy chamber.
She says: “The whole experience has been so empowering and so was doing this sexy photoshoot. I might be 48 but I thought, ‘I can still do it. Why not?’.
“And when I saw the first snap I thought, ‘Here we go — Caprice is back and she’s better than ever,’ and it felt good.
“I haven’t done a shoot like this since before my kids were born. I’ve been too self-conscious because my body sort of went to s**t after kids.
“The cellulite happens, the fat in funny places, and I just didn’t care. When you have kids, it becomes all about them, and you kind of put yourself on the back burner.
“So when the shoot was first suggested I was a bit dubious, because I haven’t been looking my best in the past six years. But the shoot, like Dancing On Ice, has been a massive boost.
“I am not sure what Ty will think. He hasn’t seen the photos yet. He’s probably not going to be too happy. Then again, maybe he’ll look at them and think, ‘She’s all mine.’ ”
Caprice’s TV ice rink debut comes two years after she was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Thankfully, doctors were able to remove the benign growth and she has now been given the all-clear. The health scare, however, changed the model’s outlook on life.
She says: “I’m a kinder, more patient person. It made me realise you can’t control what happens around you, but you can control how you react. That’s what I have changed.”
Caprice — who was 28 when she first posed naked for Playboy — will turn 50 next year but she will not be following other celebrities by agreeing to a new shoot for the magazine.
She says: “Sharon Stone may have done a second one aged 57 but it’s not for me. It’s empowering to do the sexier shots but with a fashion twist. But to just expose my boobs at this stage with my kids? No chance.”
In the run-up to tonight’s Dancing On Ice launch, the spotlight has once again fallen on the show’s infamous curse amid reports that retired footballer Kevin Kilbane has already grown close to pro skating partner Brianne Delcourt.
The 38-year-old American dancer has previously paired off with four celebrity partners.
The show has also seen Coronation Street actress Samia Ghadie fall for pro-dancer Sylvain Longchambon, who was dating soap actress Jennifer Metcalfe at the time. And skater Frankie Poultney and ex-England goalkeeper David Seaman also got together on the show’s spin-off tour shortly after their marriages came to an end.
But Caprice, whose exes include former Arsenal footballer Tony Adams and model Calum Best, insists she will not fall victim.
She says of Ty, who is worth an estimated £20million: “It’s been challenging.
“But let me tell you something. Men are simple creatures.
“All you have to do is feed them and give them compliments and sex. And it doesn’t even have to be good sex.
“Then they are happy campers, it’s as simple as that. Happy husband, happy wife.”
