Dancing On Ice: Joe Swash leaves brows raised amid saucy on-air proposition to beau Stacey

Dancing On Ice 2020 contestant Joe Swash, 38, has taken the skating show by storm this series, and on Sunday night he wowed viewers once again. Taking to the ice to an infamous James Bond theme tune during Movie Week, Joe transformed into secret agent 007, as he whirled his professional partner Alexandra Schauman, around the ballroom.

The TV presenter and former EastEnders star looked the part in a tuxedo, and it seems like the cheeky presenter loved it all a little too much as he couldn’t resist dropping a saucy comment into the mix about his beau Stacey Solomon.

Joe directed his attention to his girlfriend Stacey, who was sitting in the audience with their youngest child Rex, and left her fits of giggles with his next suggestion.

The cheeky chappy said he might take home the suave outfit to impress in the bedroom, leaving the audience cackling with laughter.

“I might take this home for Stacey later,” he joked, before adding: “Brace yourself.”

His infectious giggle sounded around the arena as the camera cut to the Loose Women panellist who was giggling uncontrollably and mouthing “no”.

And, while Joe and viewers at home were getting hot under the collar over his new look, they weren’t the only ones.

The makeover was also well received by new judge John Barrowman, who wanted in on some the action.

Giving his feedback he said: “There were no wobbles. For me it wasn’t a clean martini it was more of a dirty martini. I liked it.”

The Doctor Who star added: “I want to drink that dirty martini with you and Stacey. There ya go.”[sic]

Fans on social media also couldn’t hold back from making a few cheeky comments about his new appearance, calling the dad-of-two a “heart-throb” and referred to him as “double o heaven.”

“Swash, Joe Swash, you were double o heaven tonight,” one tweeted.

Another gushed: “Joe Saucy Swash what a great show opener.”

Wow I fancy Joe Swash,” someone else tweeted.

A fan commented: “Is it only me who doesn’t think that Swash was sauve tonight?”

“Swash, Joe Swash, you were double o heaven tonight,” tweeted another.

But while Joe was saved from elimination last night, someone had to say goodbye.

In the end, it was Coronation Street star Lisa George and her partner Tom Naylor, who bid farewell to the show after finding themselves in the dreaded skate-off alongside Libby Clegg and her pro partner Mark Hanretty.

All four judges voted unanimously to save Libby, meaning it was the end of the road for Lisa.

Only four couples now remain and go through to the semi-finals – Joe, Libby, Perri Kiely and pro Vanessa Bauer and Ben Hanlin and partner Carlotta Edwards.

With such few couples left in the competition, they will have to take on not one, but two routines next week to secure a position in the final.

But who will take home the crown?

Dancing On Ice airs Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
