The branding derives from the lyrics “O Empire wide and glorious, you stand supremely blest” and is said to also embody “the legacy that its parent organization Envy has built since entering the competitive Call of Duty scene in 2007.” The primary colours of the Dallas Empire are black and gold, with blue as its secondary colour.

Mike Rufail, Owner and CEO of Envy Gaming commented in a release: “The Dallas Empire name and branding are a nod to our past, our future, and the great State of Texas. Dallas is one of the greatest sports cities in the world. And it’s where we’re building our empire. We want to bring a Call of Duty League Championship home to Texas.”

The team is comprised of both veterans and young players, namely Ian “Crimsix” Porter, James “Clayster” Eubanks, Cuyler “Huke” Garland, Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro, and Indervir “iLLeY” Dhaliwal. The General Manager, coach, and supporting staff for the franchise are yet to be announced.
