A DAD has shared the painful reality of breastfeeding, after sharing a snap of the huge bruise his baby left on his chest – despite her not having any teeth.
Ronnie Dunston, from Springdale, Maryland, took to Facebook where he explained that his daughter had tried to “latch on” when he was carrying her.
Captioning his photo, Ronnie admitted that he had “no clue” just how powerful his baby was after his wife had previously complained of the pain of breastfeeding.
The new dad wrote: “So every time my daughter latches on to my wife’s nipple she makes this ‘Ah sh!t, this hurts’ face.
“I’m looking like seriously you’re not used to it by now, she doesn’t even have teeth, suck it up chump lol.
“BOY DID I have NO CLUE.”
Ronnie, who runs his blog Road To 100 Countries, went on to say that his wife was at the gym and their daughter, Nubia, was crying for a feed, so he carried her downstairs to make a bottle.
“While we’re waiting for the bottle to warm up, I’m shirtless and Nubia is laying on my shoulder,” he continued.
“She starts moving her head all crazy then just starts to suck on my clavicle. I laugh and go ‘you’re not going to get anything from there, buddy!’
“Her suction turned into some blood sucking Dracula type s***.”
“I’m like WTF. I’m trying to pull her off me like… f***, f*** get off me! I wanted to toss her off me like she was a demon child lol.”
Robbie said his baby daughter had “some newborn vampire type strength” so he quickly made her a bottle then headed into the bathroom to assess the damage.
Ronnie said he will never “talk s***” to his wife ever again, adding “these babies are DANGEROUS.”
“I want you to NEVER EVER, EVER… EVER, EVER underestimate the power of a mother.
“From birthing a child to breastfeeding YOU SIR are NOT built for this type pain.”
His post has since gone viral, amassing almost 70,000 likes, 120,000 shares and hundreds of comments from mums who could certainly relate.
“Yeah the sucking suction is not for punks,” wrote one.
Another said, ” Been there, done that twice, thankful I don’t EVAH have to do it again. It’s a wonderful experience 92.5% of the time!”
A fellow dad added, “Maaaaan my newborn, Reign does the same thing lol. While also making smacking sounds.”
And a mum pointed out it’s nice to feel appreciated every now and then: “Nice when someone recognises the struggle.”

In other parenting news, this mum was left in hysterics after her unborn baby stared directly at the camera during a 20-week scan.
Plus this clever mum hid her chocolate in a frozen berries packet so her son doesn’t “gorge himself silly” and parents love the idea.
