A MUM was left bemused after her husband sent their young daughter to school in a pair of knickers – and couldn’t see what the problem was.
Aliza Friedlander later received a photo of Brooklyn, three, in a music class wearing nothing but a sweater and potty training underwear.

Aliza – from Baltimore, Maryland – told Today that on the morning the picture was taken, she’d headed to work early and her husband Brad had got their children ready for school.
While at work, she received a text from a friend with kids at the same school.
The fellow mum had included a picture of Brooklyn’s outfit, which consisted of a pink top, trainers and… undies.
But when Aliza text Brad about the mix-up, he simply joked: “At least she was wearing something.”

Aliza took to Instagram to share her text conversation with her husband, alongside snaps of Brooklyn’s unique ensemble.
In the messages, Brad explained that Brooklyn had told him the knickers were shorts.
Aliza said: “Those are training underwear,” to which Brad replied: “Ok… well don’t leave them in her drawer to pick.”

Aliza said: “They were in her underwear drawer.”
Brad then nonchalantly responded: “So tell her that they are underwear.”
In her caption, Aliza admitted that she thinks Brooklyn may have been playing a prank on her dad.
She said: “In May, I started working part-time and this morning I had an event that started before school drop off.

“My husband stayed home and helped get the kids out for school.
“Apparently, my daughter decided to wear underwear (not just any underwear but thick diaper like training underwear used for potty training) and told my husband they were ‘short shorts’.
“Based on her smile and the fact she locked her door while getting dressed, I’m pretty sure she knew they weren’t shorts!!”
Luckily, Aliza managed to see the funny side.

She continued: “At least my husband remembered to brush the girls’ teeth and clean their newly pierced ears… so there’s that!”
She added to Today: “[Brooklyn] was actually wearing a pair of underwear under the underwear, so she was wearing them as shorts even though they weren’t.
“[Brad] has never let an epic fail happen like this before.
“He spends a tonne of time with the girls and gets them dressed all the time, which is what makes this even funnier.”
