Dad captures her daughter’s adorable reaction to being given a banana for Christmas

A DAD tried to prank his daughter by wrapping up a banana and giving it to her for Christmas – but she absolutely loved it.

The dad-of-three, going by the name Lgnd, filmed the gift exchange, showing his toddler, Aria, dressed in a pair of adorable pyjamas.

Lgnd, from Los Angeles, shared the clip on social media, saying: “I tried giving my daughter the worst Xmas gift ever & I didn’t expect this reaction.”

As she begins to rip off the wrapping paper, she catches sight of the tell-tale yellow of the fruit.

Realising it’s a banana, her face immediately lights up and she shrieks ‘banana!’

The tot repeatedly exclaims about her present, as mum Des helps her unwrap her gift.

She asks for it to be opened, and starts happily munching away on the fruit.

Lgnd explained they pranked their eldest son, Justice, with the same gift last year.

He explained: “Last year around this time, for Christmas, we pranked Justice.

“We gave him a banana as a present and we wanted to see his reaction.

“His reaction was great, he was really grateful despite the fact that he just got a banana.

A third added: “Kids are the most humblest humans beings. They don’t ask for much.”

This person said: “It’s funny how people try and give small children fruit as ‘worst present’, but I bet these kids love fruit so much that they’re just happy to get something tasty!

“And it’s even a thing she’s able to pronounce and everything! JOY.”
