Here is how to get some payback from your big day . . .
Flower power: There are plenty of ways to re-use wedding blooms. I love the idea of drying them out and using them to decorate your house.
You could create potpourri or a seasonal wreath for your front door. A simpler option is to frame them and hang them on your wall.
Suits you: Men can easily re-wear their suits for formal occasions. Know how to sew? You can shorten a wedding dress for a cocktail party — it will save you buying a new frock.
Another nice suggestion is turning it into a christening gown.
Shoe-in: There is no reason why you can’t wear your wedding shoes again. If you are worried that they look too much like wedding heels, dye them a bright colour.

Succ-essories: Centrepieces are probably the easiest things to re-use. If you decked out your venue with items such as jars or vases, they can be turned into home accessories. Alternatively, use them to make home-made gifts.
Food for thought: You are guaranteed to have leftover cake. Roll small pieces into balls, cover with icing and pop on to a stick to create DIY cake pops.
Keep any alcohol for dinner parties or big events such as New Year’s Eve. Your drinks cabinet will not need restocking for ages.
