Gaming fans across the globe have been snapping up pre-orders of the eagerly-anticipated release of the new Sony PlayStation 5.
The PS5 will be officially released in the US, Japan and a select few other countries from November 12.
Sadly, gamers here in the UK and in the rest Europe, the wait will go on for a further week to get their hands on it, with stocks available from November 19.
The console will be released with two separate price ranges, with an initial value of £449 for the standard model. A cheaper digital-only version will also be released alongside it and will be available from £359.
Most retailers have sold out of both consoles, but Currys PC World had secured additional stock and opened the order line at 12pm today (September 18).

In an email to customers, the popular retailer offered gaming fans the chance to order a PS5 for just a £5 deposit, giving them the opportunity to make full payment prior to release on November 19.
The PlayStation 5 has now sold out.
