Cristiano Ronaldo reveals why he is 'very happy' in latest Instagram post

Ronaldo, now at Juventus after spells with Real Madrid and Manchester United, bagged the equaliser against Inter Milan on Saturday.

Juve have already won Serie A with Ronaldo impressing in his first season at the Turin club.

Ronaldo’s 600th career club goal came on the same day as long-term rival Lionel Messi netted his 598th Barcelona goal.

And Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed his delight at netting the landmark goal.

Posting a selfie holding his boot, Ronaldo captioned the Instagram image with: “Very happy to have scored the goal 600 in my career with these beautiful boots!”

Messi and Ronaldo have both won league titles this year with the Argentinian helping Barcelona to the La Liga crown.

The argument over which of the two stars is better has raged on for years.

Ronaldo has five Champions Leagues to his name while Messi has four, though Barcelona remain in this year’s tournament.

The Catalan giants will take on Liverpool in the semi-finals with the first leg at the Nou Camp on Wednesday.

And Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has revealed Liverpool’s plans to handle Messi.

“I think he is the best player in the world, I have said that before,” Van Dijk said about Messi.

“But you see how we play, how we defend, we don’t defend one v one.

“We defend all together and we attack all together as well, so we will see, we will be ready.

“The situation is that we are in the semi-final against Barcelona and we are going to face one of the best players.

“But it is not only him, the whole team has a lot of quality and we will prepare well and that is what we are going to do.

“We have also a very good team so we can compete there as well.

“It is not like we are going there for a holiday or something.”
