Crimewatch presenter Rav Wilding has opened up on his lifelong battle with Dyspraxia.

The 41-year-old recently confessed that he struggles with the motor-skills disorder, which affects both movement and co-ordination.

When chatting to Press Association in a candid interview, the star spoke about how things ‘finally made sense’ when he was diagnosed with the condition later on in life.

‘I’m dyslexic as well, but dyspraxia is kind of like dyslexia with your hands,’ he explained.

‘My brain just does not work that way. And the only way I can do anything is if I can see it, visualise it, literally see it with my eyes, what I am supposed to do…

Rav went on to talk about how he noticed symptoms at an early age, and found it hard to complete ‘easy’ tasks at school.

‘I’ve always struggled with it and just sort of battled on,’ he confessed before adding: ‘It wasn’t until I had a formal medical diagnosis a couple of years ago, and they said the extent of what I had and it all made sense.’

‘The things I’ve always struggled with, that’s why.’

But it sure hasn’t held the star back, as not only is he loved on Crimewatch, he’s also taken part in Kirstie Allsopp Kirstie’s Celebrity Craft Masters, as well as The latest series of The All New Monty.

During one particular episode, the gang were told they’d be performing a dress run in front of an audience at a live show of Magic Mike – and Rav was not convinced.

‘The issue for me – I’m sorry if I sound like a downer – is the crowd,’ he explained, referring to the night before when they’d been in the audience.

‘We’ve all seen it, it’s a bear pit in there. I’m sorry, I don’t want that.’

He added: ‘If this comes out tomorrow night, I’m on a Magic Mike show stage, in two weeks when I’m meant to be doing a serious crime show, I’ll get the sack.’

But, despite considering quitting, Rav eventually decided to perform.

‘The reason I am doing this is because of my dad,’ he pointed out: ‘This thing at Magic Mike is part of that. If he was here, he’d give me a slap round the head!’
