Coronation Street was tense tonight after Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) decided to follow her boyfriend Gary Windass (Mikey North) after suspecting he was cheating.
She had been suspecting Gary for a while after he had been acting suspiciously and lying about his whereabouts.
On Sarah’s quest to find out where Gary was heading off to, she decided to get in her car and secretly follow him.
However her chosen mode of transport sent fans into a frenzy after they couldn’t quite get over the fact that Sarah could drive, let alone owned a car.
Fans couldn’t recall seeing Sarah driving a car on the cobbles and viewers wondered where the car really came from.
One fan tweeted: “Where have all these cars come from? Since when could Sarah drive?”
A second said: “I find it hilarious that people on Corrie all of a sudden have a car, when storyline requires them to.”
A third added: “Sarah and Gary never have any money but they have a VW?”
And another shared: “Where do these Corrie characters keep all these cars? Never seen them before.”
Sarah secretly spied on Gary from the mystery vehicle and confided in her mum Gail after spotting Gary going into an unknown house.
But Sarah need not worry, as explosive scenes showed Gary learning the ropes as a debt collector and roughing up their latest owing client.
