Coronavirus UK: Which Burger King, KFC and Pret branches are open?

Burger King, KFC and Pret A Manger have re-opened a number of stores to allow delivery services and to help feed NHS workers during the coronavirus pandemic.

The food retailers are all doing so as a way of thanking the heroes of the NHS and other key workers continuing to work during the outbreak.

All three are also donating thousands of meals to workers, as well as homeless charities.

Which branches have opened, and are they open to the public? Here’s what you need to know.

Which Burger King stores are re-opening?

Four Burger King restaurants have re-opened for delivery service, with others expected to follow suit in the coming weeks.

The ones that have reopened so far are:

  • Bristol Bath Road
  • Bristol Eastgate
  • Coventry
  • Swindon

The fast-food company says it will also donate 1,000 meals per week to hospital staff local to the re-opened restaurants.  

Burger King will be open to the public and key workers, and orders can be placed via Deliveroo or JustEat.

Which KFC stores are re-opening?

KFC has re-opened 11 stores across the UK for delivery only, with a few more branches preparing to join soon. These are:

  • Heaton Chapel,
  • Tamworth
  • New Oscott
  • Manchester Hulme
  • Portsmouth
  • Aldershot
  • Ipswich Cardinal Park
  • Glasgow Pollokshaws Road
  • Glasgow Great Western Retail Park
  • Enfield Coliseum Retail Park
  • Manchester Deansgate

KFC is also donating ‘thousands’ of meals from these restaurants for NHS staff and other key workers.

Pret will be open all customers, and orders can be placed via Deliveroo or the Pret website.

Which Pret stores are re-opening?

Pret is re-opening 10 stores in London, each which are located close to hospitals, with the help of 150 team members who volunteered to help.

These branches include:

  • Fulham Road
  • South Kensington
  • St George University
  • St John’s Wood
  • Tooting Broadway
  • Kings Road, City Road
  • Great Portland Street
  • Vauxhall (St George’s Wharf)
  • Warren Street.

The branches will be open for delivery and takeaway only, and will offer a reduced range of Pret favourites, as well as essentials like milk, bread and butter.

In addition to this, NHS workers will continue to get 50% off their orders this month, and 7,000 additional meals will be donated to homeless charities.
