She was rushed in after vomiting blue liquid with her lungs full of infection and feeling like she was “drifting away”.
Speaking on Sky News today, Linda said: “Those selfish people having parties, I think give them a blanket fine that goes to the NHS. Give them a £500 fine each when they’re not keeping to the rules.
“The more people go out, the more people have parties and think ‘let’s play football, we’re not going to get it’, every time they go out they’re prolonging the lockdown and prolonging the virus staying in this country.
“Don’t give them a criminal record, hit them where it hurts and fine them £500 or go to their house and take something worth £500 and that should go straight to the NHS.”
Linda caught it from her showbiz agent and actor husband Sam who believes he contracted the virus during a business meeting before strict social distancing measures came in.
He passed it on to Linda while she was caring for him.
They both told how they wanted to die while suffering from the virus because they were in so much pain.
Asked today how she was recovering, Linda said: “I’m getting there, getting better every day. This virus takes your lung capacity down so much that it take days and days or even weeks for your lungs to repair the damage they’ve sustained.
“It’s been lovely to sit in garden and get some vitamin D and just to be alive really.”
In an interview with GMB this week, her husband Sam said: “We just looked at each other and said, ‘Look, we can’t take this anymore’.
“It was horrific. It was like the devil’s hands were strangling me and holding me down and laughing in my face.
“It’s the deepest, darkest place we’ve ever been.
“We just thought that if we don’t wake up, it’s not the end of the world.”
