On Thursday, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus outbreak a “public health emergency of national concern”.
This is just the sixth time the WHO has done this after swine flu in 2009, polio and ebola separately in 2014, zika virus in 2016 and the ebola crisis in 2018.
