Katie Price has given her praise to ex-husband Peter Andre’s wife Emily for her work on the NHS frontline during the coronavirus pandemic.

Emily is currently working as a medical professional in the midst of the Covid-19 outbreak and is risking her life to help save others who are battling the illness.

Katie has now candidly revealed in a chat with MailOnline that staying at home during lockdown and realising the hard work that the NHS are doing, has helped her to see ‘the bigger picture’.

‘I feel so blessed, I am grateful to both Peter, Kieran and to Emily for being out there on the front line, it’s times like these that you see the bigger picture and learn from that,’ she said.

Peter previously admitted that he was struggling to sleep as he was worrying about his wife while she worked long shifts, as he admitted to The Sun: ‘Five out of seven of her family work in the NHS right now. I am so worried about the whole family – I worry about Emily’s mum and dad because they work right in the midst of this.

‘It’s really scary. It’s like a world war but without the violence of the war – it’s a war without the guns.’

The Mysterious Girl singer also said he is ‘proud’ of Emily and her efforts during the pandemic.

Katie is currently staying at home with her oldest son, 17-year-old Harvey, while Junior, 14, and Princess, 12, stay with Peter, and her youngest children, Jett, six, and Bunny, five, are with their father Kieran Hayler.

The former glamour model has said that she is hoping to see both Junior and Princess again this weekend, after she had a brief reunion with the two on Thursday night as they helped to clap for key workers.

She had previously celebrated both Peter and Kieran for being ‘great dads’ and for looking after her children, telling The Sun: ‘I regularly FaceTime the kids. I can’t wait to see them and to give them a big hug – this has been really hard.

‘Kieran and Peter are great dads – I know the children are in safe hands.’
