Coronavirus: Earn double XP in World Of Warcraft for self-isolating

To help convince people to self-isolate from the coronavirus, Blizzard are offering World Of Warcraft players double experience until April.

There
are plenty of video
games to help pass the time while we all self-isolate from the coronavirus
,
but that apparently doesn’t seem to be enough to convince some people to stay
inside.

Developer Blizzard seems to want to do its part to help, as it is now offering a special perk to all World Of Warcraft player: double experience.

A new buff called the Winds of Wisdom is now available to all players and will last until 20 April. It doesn’t matter if you’re playing the free-to-play version or the Legendary Edition, you will be earning XP at twice the usual rate. That makes it almost worth getting into World Of Warcraft right now, so you can take advantage of this perk and quickly catch up with everyone else.

‘Players
will also be able to take advantage of this experience boost while still using
their favourite heirlooms,’ reads an
official blog post
.

‘It
won’t take long before you’ll be facing off with the Old God N’Zoth and his
minions in Ny’alotha, the Waking City.’

This
is referring to the recent Visions of N’Zoth update, which
brought with it new content
, including a 12-boss raid that ends with a
battle against N’Zoth himself. That alone is bound to keep you busy.

It’s arguably a better alternative to playing Warcraft 3: Reforged, an underwhelming remaster, riddled with bugs and lacking key features.

World Of Warcraft is available only on PC.
