Some posts require you to have a driving licence and, if you have looked after a friend or family member before, that may help your application.

You will also need the confidence to make decisions and run a household.

Perks include flexible hours, good pay, generous holidays and of course, great job satisfaction.

Many jobs will continue after the pandemic is over, with plenty of permanent roles available.

Dominique Kent, of The Live-in Care Hub, says: “We will have trained carers in homes within 14 days of applying, so the sooner we can get the message out there and applications in, the sooner we can relieve some of the current strain on the NHS.”
