Coronation Street's Steve McDonald set for heartbreak in baby son seizure horror


Coronation Street ‘s Steve McDonald is about to see his life take a terrifying turn, when his son Oliver is rushed to the hospital.

The toddler will suffer a seizure in upcoming scenes, Coronation Street spoilers have revealed, marking heartbreak for his dad.

The drama begins when Oliver’s mum Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) leaves him with dad Steve (Simon Gregson) for the day.

Unfortunately, things take a turn when Steve is distracted by his daughter Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) and her tempestuous relationship.

The hairdresser is going through a tough time, and the heartache is only heightened when she takes Ken Barlow’s dog, Eccles, to the vet next week.

Steve rushes to Emma’s aid when he hears about the spectacle she has created

Leaving Emma distraught, the loveable pooch is put down, after over a decade on the Corrie cobbles.

Worked up after the canine heartbreak, Emma returns to her flat with ex-boyfriend Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) and orders him to move out.

When he refuses, she furiously tosses his belongings out of the window, making a scene in front of their neighbours.

Steve leaves little Oliver in the care of schoolgirl Summer Spellman (Matilda Freeman), before rushing to reason with Emma.

When he returns, the taxi driver finds babysitter Summer in an agitated state, as she reveals poor little Oliver has suffered a seizure.

Steve has always proven a proud dad to little Oliver

Panicked, Steve rushes the infant to the hospital, desperate to get to the bottom of the medical emergency.

Was the devastating seizure a one-off, or is there more heartbreak ahead for Steve?
