CORONATION Street actress Sally Ann Matthews was beaming as she posed for fan selfies outside the Salford Quays studios amid a spat over snaps with co-star Simon Gregson.
Sally Ann, who plays Jenny Bradley in the ITV soap, flashed a huge smile as she spent some socially-distanced time with a soap fan in Manchester.
She wore a bright pink coat over a black summer dress, paired with comfy flip flops.
The TV star took off her sunglasses to pose patiently for the images, with a youngster in a black puffa coat and one in a fluffy pink two piece.
The subject of fan selfies is perhaps a sore subject for the star, after it sparked an argument with Corrie legend Simon earlier this week.
Sally Ann, 49, initially took to Twitter this week to take a thinly-veiled swipe at some of the Weatherfield bunch who are charging fans for autographs or selfies.
She then also warned people that they ‘should never pay’ for autographs or video messages.
Sally told the Corrie viewer: “Write to us at Trafford Wharf Road. We do them for free! You should never pay for an autograph (or a video message come to that) x.”
It comes after several Corrie stars signed up to money-making websites including Cameo and Celeb VM during lockdown – when filming on the long-running series was suspended.
Yes this blunt opinion apparently sparked bad feeling with Simon, who plays loveable Steve McDonald, and his family.
Simon’s wife Emma Gleave saw it as a dig at her hubby, who plays Steve McDonald and sells video messages for £30 – with some of the proceeds going to charity.
The mum of three said: “Wow!!!! Nothing like sticking together with your work colleagues!”
In further tweets now deleted, she added: “Grow a set of balls and tell ur cast members ur opinion.”
